Conclusion

I can conclude that there were lots of different Armies, Planes, Tanks and Weapons which contributed to the mass death of millions of humans in WW2 over the six years.  Whether it was beliefs, cost, accuracy or speed there was always was a reason why some countries chose certain guns, planes, weapons or tanks over others.  In the end they all led to great destruction and loss of lives which should not have happened.  But how did it all end? Well on 6 August, 1945 an atomic bomb named Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan.  Atomic bombs had not been invented at the beginning of WW2 and it was only in July 1945 that the first tests of the Atomic Bomb had been carried out.

Little Boy

Little Boy explosion was massive and the city of Hiroshima was destroyed, and thousands of people were killed. The first bomb was dropped out of the Enola Gay plane. The bomb measured over 10 feet long and weighed approximately 10,000 pounds.  To ensure that the bomb dropped slowly a small parachute was attached to the bomb to ensure that the pilot and plane had enough time to fly away before the bomb went off.

Fat Man

However bad the devastating of Little Boy had been on Japan they refused to surrender. So three days later, another atomic bomb, nicknamed Fat Man, was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan. Again the devastation was horrible.

It took to six days after the bombing of Nagasaki, Japan surrendered to US forces. The Emperor announced this on the radio, just like how Churchill announced the start of the war the Emperor Hirohito of Japan ended it.
